Orange County Home Sale Activity - October 2005

The median home sales price for both single family residences and condos was $606,000, an increase of 13.9% over the same period in 2004. A total of 3,614 homes were sold, a 3.0% increase over the same period last year. The lion's share of the market represented the 2,183 resale homes, which had a median price of $665,000.  The largest increase was in the number of new homes sold, a 10% increase from the previous year with the median price going for $696,000. Lastly, condo sales were up 20.5% from 2004 with a median price of $440,000.
