Mortgage Rates - Historical Rates since 1971

Today's 30 year fixed rate mortgage rates stand at 4.98%, according to Bankrate.

Out of curiosity, I decided to take a look at the historical 30 year rates for as long back as possible. Here's an interesting chart from Mortgage-X.com that has a graphical depiction of interest rates since 1971.
